The money

Fifteen clients. Then it is profit.

Las Vegas studios list whitening from $100 to $200 before deals, and a Summerlin studio charges $174 for an hour. Here is the sum at $149.

Where the beauty trade meets every July

The Cosmoprof trade show meets at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center. The 2026 show had 952 exhibitors and 26,500 visits from 103 countries. The next one runs 13 to 15 July 2027.

In the Las Vegas, Henderson and North Las Vegas area, 1,300 skincare specialists, 900 manicurists and 1,420 hairdressers work for a business. Manicurists here average $46,390 a year. That is May 2025. Many more work for themselves or inside the resorts, and those are not counted.

Whitening is already on the menu around town. A Summerlin whitening studio on Village Center Circle charges $174 for an hour. Benefit Aesthetics on East Warm Springs Road lists $200 for an hour, before deals. TrueFace Beauty Bar on South Durango lists $100 a session.

The rule in Nevada

Nevada leaves one narrow door

Nevada law says a person practices dentistry if they hand out tooth whitening agents or "undertake to whiten or bleach teeth by any means or method."

There is one exception: dispensing or using a product "that may be purchased over the counter for a person's own use."

Our 16% in-chair gel is a professional product. No Nevada source says whether it counts as over the counter. The only Nevada rule that names bleaching with a light lets a dentist hand it to a dental hygienist.

So we will not tell you a Nevada salon may run it. Ask the Nevada State Board of Dental Examiners in writing before your first client.
